Ivan Gilreath

President & CEO

Omaha native and Boys & Girls Club alum, Ivan Gilreath, has been the President and CEO of Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands since 2011.  Previous to his work at Boys and Girls Club, Ivan worked at ING Insurance in Minneapolis and for 20 years with Mutual of Omaha.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and MBA from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.  He shares, “I am a product of my Club and my community, and I hope my story and my experiences will inspire the youth of our Clubs to dream bigger and expect more of themselves and their futures.  The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands is a great organization and I look forward to continuing that tradition of greatness.”


Thomas R. Kunkel

Chief Professional Officer

Tom’s first exposure to Boys & Girls Clubs came as a student at the University of Illinois where he volunteered at the Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club in Champaign, Illinois. Upon graduation, he was hired as a Camp Counselor for Camp Winona of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago.

His career with Boys & Girls Clubs of Midlands began in the spring of 1983 as the Social Recreation / Camp Director at the Carter Lake Unit. He has worked as the Sports, Fitness & Recreation Director at the South Club and also served as Unit Director for the Carter Lake, South Omaha and North Omaha Clubs.

In 1996, Tom was selected to be Director of Operations and in 2003 he was named Chief Professional Officer (CPO). As CPO, Tom is responsible for managing the 170+ staff, the clubs over 6,500 members ages 6-18, and all the facilities within the organization’s $6.4M budget.

Tom has served on several regional and national committees for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.


Shari Magnussen

Chief Financial Officer

Shari graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with BS in Accounting. She has worked as CFO with BGCM since 1987.


Regina Tullos-Williams

Director of Program Development

Regina Tullos-Williams is the Director of Program Development at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands.


Ashley E. Winans

Chief Development Officer

Ashley joined Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands in October 2013. In her role as Chief Development Officer, Ashley leads a talented team of development and marketing professionals to secure financial resources the organization needs to continue fulfilling its crucial mission of preparing the Midlands youth to achieve a great future.

Ashley established tenure in the non-profit sector working for Boys Town, Creighton University and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Her positions included responsibilities in the areas of development, community relations, volunteer management, marketing, special events and strategic planning. Ashley holds a degree in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Non-Profit Communications from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.


LaVelle Henderson

Chief Information Officer

LaVelle Henderson, Chief Information Officer, has been with the Clubs since May of 2010. He has quickly become an integral part of the IT Team and the greater organization. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information System (CIS), an Associates in Computer Applied Science and he is a graduate of the AIM IT Leadership Academy.


Jermaine Jones

Vice President, Community and Scholarship Outreach

Jermaine Jones has a BA in Sociology from the University of Nebraska and a Masters in Education from Doane College. Jermaine comes to us from Avenue Scholars Foundation where he most recently was a College and Career Talent Advisor. Jermaine is a former Club member and Club employee who received a Club scholarship while attending college.
