Days for Kids
Every year in September we celebrate the kids in our community and advocate for youth during Day for Kids. This year the Day for Kids event was held on September 16th. We had tons of fun at King Science! Club members and staff sported matching shirts—each Club represented with their own color. Families from the community also came out to enjoy the event.
Kids and their family enjoyed a fun packed day including free food, bounce houses, games, free books, prizes, and super heroes! There was also a teddy bear clinic by University of Nebraska Medical Center – UNMC, and a dance-off!
Day for Kids is a celebration of the life-changing work taking place at Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation, and a reminder that one day can change a child’s future. It is also a day to bring to light the critical needs of children in our community and call on adults to take action in support of America’s kids.
