CPO, Tom Kunkel, Celebrates 35 Years of Service to Youth at BGCM

Congratulations to Tom Kunkel, our CPO, on 35 years of service to youth at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands! The number of young lives he has transformed, the amount of people he has helped, and the impact he has made in our community for the last 35 years is immeasurable. We are so grateful and fortunate to have him as a leader and part of our Boys & Girls Club family. Congrats Tom!

Tom has a long time career with the Boys & Girls Clubs, beginning with volunteering as a student at the University of Illinois. After completing a BS degree in Physical Education, Tom began his career with BGCM in 1983 as the Social Recreation/Camp Director at the Carter Lake Unit. He has worked as the Sports, Fitness & Recreation Director at the South Club and also served as Unit Director for the Carter Lake, South Omaha and North Omaha Clubs. In his role now as CPO, Tom is responsible for managing all Unit Directors, their staff, and all facilities. Tom has served on several regional and national committees for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
