South Omaha Boys & Girls Club receives a $35,000 grant from Boys & Girls Clubs of America to establish and run a “BGCA College and Career Center, powered by The Hartford”. This opportunity is made possible through The Hartford.

The BGCA College and Career Center, powered by The Hartford, will be a facility-based resource center inside the South Omaha Boys & Girls Club teen center, on 5051 S. 22nd Street. With help from trained staff, the center will inform, motivate and equip teens for success along their college and career pathways. The center will include technology for teens to conduct college and career search, apply to schools and jobs and complete essays and resumes.

The launch of the BGCA College and Career Center, powered by The Hartford, will strengthen and compliment all the great program momentum BGCM currently have going for teens. The time of this grant could not be better. The South Omaha Club has recently undergone tremendous growth in teen membership. The center will further develop the current workforce development offerings and expand our reach to teens in the areas of program delivery.

Thank you to Boys & Girls Clubs of America and The Hartford for the opportunity to provide our teens and youth with the tools they need to succeed beyond the walls of the Clubs.
