Carter Lake Club

The Iowa West Ranch encompasses the Henry Ogram Carter Lake Unit and Camp Nakomis. Carter Lake Unit serves more than 600 members each year and has a history rich in tradition and excellence. The Club includes a 21st Century Learning that focuses on academic success of all members throughout the school year. Located on 35 acres of forest land in Carter Lake, IA, the Carter Lake Unit also offers a summer day camp experience to Metro youth each year called Camp Nakomis. At camp, members take part in fishing, archery, canoeing, arts, and outdoor skills education.

Monday: 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m
Tuesday – Friday: 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Summer Hours:
Monday – Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Summer Early:
Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
*Additional $15 per day or $75 per week

Snow Day:
Closed when school is closed

*Club is closed on days school is closed

Serving boys and girls ages 6 to 18

$30 per child/per year

*Membership expires on December 31

Transportation provided only from Carter Lake Elementary
